MMA. What’s better than a sport that simply involves two people beating the hell out of each other until someone is declared the winner? Nothing! In MMA, double knockouts are pretty rare. A double knockout occurs when both fighters knock each other out at the exact same time. It happened once back in 2008 and, remarkably, it happened again recently!
At Shamrock Fighting Championship 285, Axel Cazares was fighting Alan Vasquez. Vasquez and Cazares were evenly matched when all of a sudden, boom double knockout! Vasquez fell into the cage while Cazares fell to the canvas. The referee waited a few seconds to see what would happen. Vasquez made it back to his feet, whereas Cazares faceplanted when he tried to stand up, so Vasquez won the fight! Awesome!
