DUI

On March 18th around 12:20 p.m., police responded to 1632 Rapp Street for a report on an accident that had happened in the parking lot. After speaking with witnesses, police determined that a Chevy Impala was making its way through the parking lot when it struck a parked pickup truck. Police made contact with the driver of the Impala and identified him as 22-year-old Bryan Pipeonhead of Rapid City. The officer noted the smell of an alcoholic beverage coming from Pipeonhead’s person as well as his slurred speech. Following a DUI investigation, the officer informed Pipeonhead he was being placed under arrest for DUI. As the officer attempted to place him in handcuffs, Pipeonhead actively resisted. Pipeonhead was brought to the ground, where he continued to actively resist and fight with the officer. He was Tasered and finally placed in handcuffs once other officers arrived. A search of Pipeonhead’s vehicle turned up marijuana. After being cleared by a medical unit, Pipeonhead was placed under arrest for DUI (3rd), Resisting Arrest, Possession of Marijuana, Driving Under Revocation, Possession of a Revoked License, and a Probation Hold.
