Recently, we talked about the story of two MMA fighters knocking each other out at the exact same time. Well again, MMA is in the headlines because a fighter tried choking out the fight referee.
Ryse Brink and Joseph Nehm were taking each other on during KnockOut Promotions’ KOP 54. Brink made very short work of Nehm, ending the beatdown in just 10 seconds. While Brink was celebrating, Nehm, in his dazed state, thought that the fight was still going on and thought that the referee was his opponent and proceeded to try and choke him out! He was completely unaware that the fight was over and that he wasn’t even choking out the right person.
Maybe if Nehm hadn’t known who he was fighting from the get-go, he would have done a little better.
