We’re big fans of Mike Francesa, the Pope of Sports Radio, here on this show…but not because we’re huge sports fans, or fans of sports radio. We like how he falls asleep on the air, checks his phone during his radio/TV simulcast and wonders out loud about soccer players’ ability to kick with both feet. And now, we have a new reason!
Recently, a guy called into Mike’s radio program to talk about the World Baseball Classic. Francesa didn’t agree with the caller, so it got a little heated. But what finally pushed him over the edge was the fact that the caller wouldn’t stop calling him “Michael.” Francesa finally laid down the ultimatum, saying that if he called him Michael one more time, he’d hang up on him. And he did.
Keep doing what you’re doing, Mike. We’re big fans!
