You know the old saying, “You know it’s going to be a rough day when a deer jumps through your school bus window.” Â Wait, what? Â That’s not a saying? Â Damn. Â Well then, let us assure you that yes, your day is going to suck if a deer jumps through your bus window. Â And a bus driver in Northeast Pennsylvania knows this all too well!
On Tuesday morning, bus 11 was picking up students in the Hegins area when an unexpected passenger hopped on: a deer. Â The bus driver had slowed down because several deer were blocking the road. Â Then, all of a sudden, one deer jumped over the hood of the bus and another one came smashing through one of the side windows, landing in a student’s lap! Â The confused deer then made its way down the aisle and eventually got out through the door.
Two students on the bus had minor injuries and were treated by the school nurse.
