White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer Says That Hitler Never Used Chemical Weapons (Video)

Yesterday, Press Secretary Sean Spicer was trying to justify President Trump’s airstrike on Syria last week by insinuating that their president Bashar Al-Assad is worse than Hitler.  He said, “You had someone who was as despicable as Hitler who didn’t even sink to using chemical weapons.”  Of course, Hitler did use chemical weapons to kill millions of people in concentration camps, which another reporter quickly pointed out.  Spicer tried to dig himself out of the hole, but he had his shovel pointed the wrong way.

Spicer said, “I think when you come to sarin gas, [Hitler] was not using the gas on his own people the same way that Assad is doing.  [Hitler] brought them into the Holocaust center, I understand that.

Yes, you just heard the spokesman of the President of the United States of America call concentration camps “The Holocaust center.”  So not only does he not know what a concentration camp is called, but does he think there was only one?

After the press conference, Spicer immediately released a statement saying, “In no way was I trying to lessen the horrendous nature of the Holocaust.  I was trying to draw a distinction of the tactic of using airplanes to drop chemical weapons on population centers.  Any attack on innocent people is reprehensible and inexcusable.

Then he went on CNN and offered a real apology, and called his comments insensitive, inappropriate, and a mistake.
