Kids do the darndest things! In the case of one kid in Houston, he decided it was a good idea to hack into the school’s network and start changing his grades! The kid’s next great idea was to offer to change other kids grades…for a fee.
In theory, this is a marvelous idea. But the bad part is, 1) kids can’t keep a secret to save their lives and 2) it is a felony! So in hindsight, he should have just changed his own grade and kept his smart, password stealing mouth shut.
The student has been charged with breaching computer security, which is a state felony.
