Yesterday morning on SportsCenter, the conversation was about the New York Mets pitcher Matt Harvey going AWOL and not showing up for a game over the weekend. Harvey was suspended three games for his actions. But the conversation on SC got a little sidetracked when Domonique Foxworth brought up the topic of fleshlights and dildos. Wait, what?
In case you didn’t see the story, last week, the New York Mets tweeted (and then quickly deleted) a picture from the locker room where a massive black dildo was visible in the background in a player’s locker. Since the reason for Harvey’s suspension had not yet been revealed, Foxworth and some others thought that he may have been behind the dildo in the locker, and perhaps that’s why he was suspended. He went on to talk about how when he was in the NFL, someone dropped off a bunch of sex toys, including fleshlights, in the locker room. He then described in detail the microwaving instructions that were on the side of the box and even said that he assumed he’d be fired for his comments! He then said that it didn’t matter, because he didn’t need the job!
It was later revealed that Harvey was suspended because he was out partying too late the night before and went golfing the next morning instead of showing up for a game.
