Writing stories about the awfulness of United Airlines is getting pretty damn common. Between them unfairly kicking passengers off of flights and killing big bunnies, we can all just agree that they’re the worst airline there is right now. And this story won’t do much to change our opinion.
About 30 minutes into a recent United flight, passenger Nicole Harper, who says that she has an overactive bladder, had to use the restroom. When she got up to do so, she was told by a flight attendant that the pilot was expecting turbulence and that she had to sit down, even though she says a first class passenger was using the bathroom at the same time. After weighing her options, Harper told the flight attendant that she’d need a cup to relieve herself in. With the help of her husband, she then peed in and filled two plastic cups, right there in her seat! It was only at this time that the flight attendant then came back and told her to empty the pee-filled cups in the bathroom!
United released a typical statement, explaining that they were investigating the incident and that their customer’s safety is their primary concern. Yup. Seems like it. We’re just assuming that there will be another settlement made where the specifics are not disclosed.
