Suspicious Activity

On 6/9/17 at about 9:25 PM an officer responded to a business in the 700 block of Disk Drive for the report of a subject looking into cars with a flashlight.  The officer arrived and located the suspicious subject in a vehicle.  This subject gave a false name to the officer and when his true identity was discovered he was found to be an absconder from parole supervision.  He was identified as Robert White Plume, age 31 of Rapid City.  A loaded handgun was found in the door pocket of his vehicle.  Under the passenger seat, officers located a small wooden bat.  The core of the bat had been drilled out and replaced with lead.  Mr. White Plume was found to have been previously convicted of a crime of violence so he was charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Former Violent Felon, which is a class 6 felony.  He was also charged the warrant for parole absconder and Impersonation to Deceive Law Enforcement.
