In Illinois, strong winds caused a terrifying hot air balloon collision. One balloon crashed into another while onlookers witnessed the pilot of the first hanging from its basket, dangling by a rope. The pilot slammed into the ground as the winds decreased, but luckily, he was uninjured. But two passengers were left in the balloon with NO PILOT! The passengers continued to be thrown around in their basket, but were also miraculously uninjured.
Bruce Sanders, a shaken survivor, calmly describes the terror he was experiencing after his pilot was suddenly gone from the balloon. “I just didn’t know what to do. I was gone. I was just kind of praying.” Don’t you want to go for a ride now? Hopefully they at least got their money back!
