There are divides in this country that will probably never be bridged. There are political debates, sports rivalries, social issues, etc. There may be no bigger debate than the one between cyclist and drivers. The newest example in this raging debate doesn’t do anyone any favors.
There is a huge issue with people using their phones while driving (you shouldn’t) and even though there are laws against it almost everywhere, it is very difficult to enforce. Leave it to this bicyclist to try to do that in lieu of any law enforcement nearby.
While riding his bike, this guy saw a woman using her phone while pulling out of her parking spot. Instead of simply going around the car that was slowly pulling out of the spot, this guy decided today was the day for a lecture and physical confrontation. Showing the restraint and self-awareness we have all come to expect from unitard wearing bicycle addicts, he screams down an old woman in her car, claiming she was using her phone.
The argument got loud enough that other people came by to see what wa going on. This definitely feels like another “no win” situation in the hottest debate in this country today: Bicyclists vs. Motorists!
