Movie star George Clooney started a tequila company with two partners and is now selling it for a cool $700 million, with a possible $300 million additional to come! Casamigos, a respected tequila maker in a growing industry, is being purchased by Diageo, whose brands include Johnnie Walker, Crown Royal and Guinness.
Tequila sales in the United Sates grew 7.4% in 2016, reaching an all-time high of 16.3 million cases. So it’s a good time to sell if you are also sitting on any successful tequila operations! We sure aren’t, but just sayin’!
