Everyone knows that when you go camping, there are things in the wild that can harm you. For one camp counselor, a night sleeping under the stars turned into a horrific morning when he was awoken by a bear having him for breakfast!
19-year-old Dylan was sleeping under the stars with other camp staff members when he woke up to a crunching sound and the feeling of being dragged around. He thought that it was a dream, but when he fully woke, he discovered that it was indeed reality and that a bear had actually bit into his skull. The bear drug Dylan 10 feet out of his sleeping bag before he was able to gouge one of the bear’s eyes, which eventually caused him to let go. Dylan was rushed to the hospital and 9 staples were needed to close the wound.
Park officials say that the bear will be hunted and killed so that no one else will have to go through such an ordeal.
