Florida Man Fakes Being Shot And Calls 911 In Hopes That Police Would Help Him Find His Lost Phone

Here’s another one from the Only in Florida files…

23-year-old Eric Ross isn’t a very smart man.  On Sunday, Eric was arrested because he lost his phone and called 911 for help finding it.  But no, he didn’t just call them and say, “My phone is lost! Help!”  Instead, Eric made up a story about being shot, hoping that the police would show up and kick down the door of the house that he was pretty sure his phone was inside.  So he just expected them to kick in the door, then he’d sneak in and grab his phone and leave, all without anyone noticing?  Again, not a smart man.

Ross was arrested and charged with misuse of the 911 system, as well as unarmed burglary, because he had attempted to get into the house on his own before his genius plan of calling 911 was brewed up.

You can listen to Ross’ 911 call below.
