Linkin Park lead singer Chester Bennington was found dead in his Los Angeles home yesterday at the age of 41. It is being reported that Bennington died of an apparent suicide by hanging.
Bennington was good friends with Soundgarden front man Chris Cornell, who committed suicide back in May in the same manner. Yesterday was also Cornell’s birthday, but it is not yet clear if that had anything to do with Bennington taking his own life. Along with a close friendship, Chester was also the godfather to one of Cornell’s kids, and he sang at his memorial service in May.
