On August 7th around 3:30 a.m., police responded to 523 6th Street for a report of an individual who was requesting medical treatment for a stab wound. Police arrived and made contact with the injured individual. The individual advised they did not want to give police any information about the incident. After speaking to witnesses, police determined the stabbing happened in the 700 Block of Quincy Street, though the specific circumstances of the stabbing were not indicated to police. The man who had been stabbed was transported to Rapid City Regional Hospital for the treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
