One In Five Sausages Don’t Contain The Meat They’re Supposed To Contain (Video)

As the old saying goes, nobody wants to know how the sausage is made.

We all know that hot dogs and various sausages are pretty much made up of all of the leftover parts of the slaughter process.  Yet we eat them anyway, blissfully unaware, as if they were just freshly picked off of a sausage bush on a farm.  Unfortunately, though, that’s not the case.  We do know how the sausage is made.  And in the case of this Canadian sausage study, most people aren’t liking what they’re learning.

Some sausages that were supposed to contain either beef, chicken or turkey actually contain none of those ingredients at all.  In fact, 20% of sausages inspected had meats that weren’t even on the label!  The turkey sausages contained chicken.  The beef sausages had turkey in them!  So basically, this doesn’t seem to be an issue with the ingredients in the sausages at all.  It just seems like the person in charge of labeling the packages at the factory is running a bit behind!

So keep eating sausages, folks.  Just don’t expect to get exactly what you paid for!
