Anyone with a smart phone is bound to have at least one app that allows them to talk to other people and Yellow is the newest Tinder-like app on social media. Cool, right? Well, this one is a little weird.n Why? Because Yellow is aimed at children ages 12 and up. Does anyone else see why this could be a problem?
To sign up, all you need is a name, a birthday, and of course a parent’s permission and boom! You can talk to anyone! Technology expert Ken Colburn says that people are pretty much on the honor system when using the app and that there is little that one can do to verify who they are talking too.
So if an honor system is the only thing keeping kids using this app safe, why is Yellow even allowed to be a thing?
