The Foo Fighters just played a festival in Japan where Rick Astley was also playing. So, of course, they brought him on stage for one of the best Rickrolls yet: a mash-up of “Smells Like Teen Spirit” and “Never Gonna Give You Up!”
In the video, it only SOUNDS like the Foo Fighters are playing the wrong riff to “Smells Like Teen Spirit.” They’re actually playing the chords from “Never Gonna Give You Up” in the style of “Smells Like Teen Spirit.”
