Reporter Tries to Buy People’s Powerball Tickets to Test Regret Avoidance (Video)

Business Insider sent out a reporter to test people’s “regret avoidance” when it came to their Powerball tickets.

The lottery was up to $700 million, so naturally people were buying tickets and practically protecting them with their lives!

This reporter went up to people offering to pay double what they paid for their lottery tickets but very few even considered it. Even though people could go back in and buy more tickets, they talked themselves out of it. It does make sense though! What would you do if that really was the winning ticket and you sold it?

Just goes to show, money makes people do strange things!
