Hurricane Irma has had the people of Florida in preparation and survival mode, meaning the stores are packed and some people desperately need certain supplies. One Florida resident, Pam Brekke was desperate to find a generator before the super storm hit, because without power, her father will be without his oxygen.
Brekke was so close but so far from what she needed when she was in line at Lowe’s and the last generator was sold to someone else. Heartbroken and worried, Brekke broke down crying in the store until another customer, Ramon Santiago, walked up and offered her the generator he was about to buy.
In a very emotional exchange Brekke and Santiago shared a hug and Brekke was able to help her and her father to survive the storm.
At least one positive to this string of hurricanes is people are actually being compassionate and coming together!
