A New iPhone Feature Failed During It’s First Public Demo Yesterday (Video)

When Apple releases a new product, they do so with a huge amount of fanfare. They hold big events where celebrities show up and they treat their products like they’re the second coming of Jesus. But millions of people own Apple products, so something is working right for them!

Yesterday, Apple debuted the new iPhone X (iPhone “Ten”), and the new facial recognition feature that is supposed to be used to unlock the phone failed during its first demonstration. Apple got rid of the home button to make the screen bigger, so the new facial recognition feature is supposed to unlock the phone. Apple executive Craig Federighi attempted to unlock the phone by just looking at it, but it didn’t work. So he had to go to a backup phone which worked.

Sucks to be the guy on stage when that happens!
