On Saturday, Penn State walked all over Georgia State 56-0. In the final seconds of the game, Georgia State had a shot to put some points on the board when they were in field goal range. But just as the ball was snapped, Penn State’s coach James Franklin called a time out. Franklin later said that he was not trying to ice the kicker, but that he was simply trying to get the correct players on the field.
Someone who took exception with Franklin’s call was New York sports radio host Mike Francesa, who made Franklin the target of an incredible rant on Monday’s show.
