Meet 96-year-old Barney Smith. Barney has spent the last SEVEN DECADES making wonderful pieces of art, but his canvas is a little…non-traditional. You see, Barney owns and operates Barney Smith’s Toilet Seat Art Museum in San Antonio, Texas. Yup, Barney has spent nearly his whole life using toilet seats as the base for his artwork!
This all started back in the 40s when Smith was working as a plumber. And since then, he says he’s decorated over 1,300 toilet seats, enough to start a museum! But now, he’s looking to retire and find a new owner for the museum.
Smith says that each toilet seat has a story behind it. And since he’s 96 years old, he’ll probably tell you each and every one of those stories if you ask him!
