Thousands Of Cockroaches Come ‘Flooding Out’ Of Manhole Cover In Virginia Neighborhood (Video)

What would you do if you lived in a neighborhood that suddenly became overrun with cockroaches? You’d probably move out, right? And that’s exactly what everyone in this Virginia neighborhood should do now.

Last Friday, residents in a Petersburg, VA neighborhood made an awful discovery: THOUSANDS of cockroaches were making their way up out of a manhole cover on to the streets! People attempted to stop the onslaught by stomping on the bugs and spraying them, but to no avail. City crews eventually had to come out and flush that portion of the sewer line, which residents say helped for a while, but the problem eventually returned.

It still has not been determined what caused the roaches to come up out of the sewer, but crews installed an insert to hopefully slow them down. And the issue is being inspected on a daily basis. Yeah, time to move out of that neighborhood!
