Las Vegas Native Jimmy Kimmel Gets Emotional While Talking About The Mass Shooting (Video)

Jimmy Kimmel got emotional last night when he opened his show by talking about the nearly 60 people that lost their lives and over 500 who were injured in the mass shooting on the Las Vegas strip. Kimmel is a Las Vegas native.

He opened the show by playing an old clip from Mr. Rogers, where he talks about looking for the people who are trying to help during great tragedies.

Kimmel then went on to discuss the tragic fire at the MGM back in 1980, that took 85 people’s lives.  He made the point that Las Vegas changed their laws to prevent that from happening again, and wondered why we couldn’t do the same thing with our gun laws.

You can see Kimmel’s emotional monologue, as well as the clip from Mr. Rogers, below.
