2005 Colorado Lotto Winner Is Now Suing For The Other 2/3 Of The Winnings (Video)

Back in 2005, Amir Massihzadeh was one of three Colorado Lotto winners of the $4.8 million jackpot. The winnings were split between the three, meaning Massihzadeh got $568,900 when everything was said and done.

However, two state agents showed up to tell him the other two were linked to a conspiracy involving their tickets and Massihzadeh was the only legitimate winner. He now argues he is entitled to the other two’s money because the state made the money back in restitution.

Massihzadeh is now suing the state of Colorado State Lottery, arguing he should be declared the sole winner and that the $800,000 cash prize he opted to receive should now be tripled. He is accounting for 12 years of interest so now he is seeking about $4 million.

We’ll have to wait and see how that works out for him.
