Pittsburgh Man Calls In A Bomb Threat At Restaurant So He Can Get Away With Walking Out On His Bill (Video)

Pittsburgh police were originally called to the Primanti Bros. restaurant because a man, Barry Clapperton, was trying to walk out without paying.

Everyone was waiting around for Clapperton’s friend to come and help pick up the tab, when an officer overheard Clapperton on the phone saying there was a bomb at another nearby restaurant. Police also traced the 911 call to his phone and there was no bomb found at the other restaurant.

When police tried to arrest Clapperton he was clearly drunk, tried running away due to outstanding warrants, and said his friend told him to call in the threat to distract them from watching him so he could get out of the bill.

Now call us crazy, but we think this is a little bit extreme for just trying to get out of paying a check but to each their own, right?
