None of us really watch Jeopardy but we have all been rooting for the goofy goon of a contestant, Austin Rogers. Sadly, last night was the end of Rogers’ 12-game streak but he and his antics will forever be in our hearts.
During Double Jeopardy, Rogers selected the category “Trees” a question worth $2,000. The question asked for a type of tree that is also slang for a detective. Rogers, thinking of a word that is short for detective, hesitated and said, “What is a dic?”
The real answer was “gum tree” because another term for detectives is a “gum shoe.”
Alex Trebek told Rogers the right answer but not to let the fact he just said “d**k” on national television.
“I know nothing about a d**k tree,” Trebek said.
The internet lost their collective minds and Rogers went home with winning a total of $413,000 on the show.
