Two Men Go Back To Assess Damage To Their Parent’s Home After California Fires To Find The Family Dog Excited To See Them (Video)

Jack Weaver and his brother in law, Patrick Widen went back to Weaver’s family home to assess the damage done by the unfortunate wildfires in Northern California.

In the frantic escape from the fires, the family had to leave their 9-year-old Bernese Mountain Dog, Izzy, behind.

As they approached the house, it was all completely gone and everyone had the expectation that Izzy would not be around either. However, the family was in for the best surprise in the face of such tragedy when Izzy came bounding down the road towards the two looking happy with her tail wagging.

Weaver then called his mother to tell her the news, to which she was thrilled.

“She just lost it,” Weaver said. “She went from being devastated about losing her home to the being the happiest person I’ve ever seen. I couldn’t get home fast enough. She was really, really happy.”

All is well when there are happy dogs!
