IHOP Gave Him A Second Chance, Now He Is Fighting To Defend Their Honor…And Money (Video)

Elijah Arnold, a waiter at a San Antonio, Texas IHOP, is now a hero after taking down a robber.

Arnold caught a man using a crowbar to pry open the cash register up front and decided to channel his martial arts training, he’s a black belt by the way, to take action.

He took the robber down, maybe not not with some sick moves like you’d think, but he definitely got him! The robber did get him in the face with the crowbar a few times but Arnold was able to hold him down until police arrived.

Arnold said he did sympathize with the robber, though, as the entire time the robber was asking to be let go, apologizing, and begging to be able to keep the money. Arnold, up until he was hired at IHOP was homeless and battling a drug addiction.

He is thankful for IHOP giving him a second chance and says that’s another reason he was so quick to act.

“That was my money in the register,” Arnold said. “It was my manager’s money in the register. And it was my IHOP’s money in the register. And I’m not going to let anybody take that.”

We can only hope for the best for him! And now we really do want some pancakes!
