Recently, Aziz Ansari accepted the Charlie Chaplin Britannia Award for Excellence In Comedy at the 2017 AMD British Academy Britannia Awards. Sounds like a pretty big honor, right? Aziz genuinely seemed stoked to get the award, but he had one complaint.
Aziz says that he was in London when he found out that he won the award. Perfect, right? He’s in London and he’s getting a British award. That should make it very convenient to go to the ceremony. But noooo. For reasons unknown, the AMD British Academy Britannia Awards took place in Los Angeles! So even though Aziz was already in London, he had to fly back to LA to pick up his trophy. And he made sure to let everyone in attendance know how he felt about that!
