Continuing vehicular assault investigation

We’re also continuing to investigate the vehicular assault that took place in Roosevelt Park on October 25th. The investigation revealed that there may be a handful of other bystanders who may have been potential victims in the attack.

We’re asking that anyone who may have witnessed the incident, or who feels they may have been a potential victim in this assault contact Det. Barry Young at 394-4134.

Here’s the original description of the assault:

At approximately 5:30 p.m., a white 2003 Mitsubishi Lancer left the Roosevelt Swim Center parking lot, drove onto the sidewalk area in proximity to the nearby basketball courts, and was attempting to run over pedestrians. One pedestrian received serious injuries after being struck by the vehicle. That person was transported to the hospital for treatment. The suspect vehicle was last seen northbound on Waterloo Street with two males and one female inside. The vehicle was located later that evening, and police are continuing to work to positively identify the suspects involved.
