Double Amputee Marine Veteran Runs A Marathon A Day For 31 Days (Video)

United States Marine veteran, Rob Jones, had to undergo a double amputation of his legs after he stepped on a landmine while deployed in Afghanistan but he has not let that keep him down!

Since having prosthetic legs, attached at the knee, Jones has dedicated his life to raising funds and awareness for veterans and charities. He has also been dedicated to rehabilitation through fitness like rowing, biking, and running.

Most recently Jones completed 31 marathons in 31 days across cities in Washington. Over the course of his “Month of Marathons” Jones ran a total of 812 miles.

“I want to be an example for others to follow,” said Jones. “An example of a veteran, and a person who, instead of letting their personal tragedy destroy their life, they use that same tragedy to make themselves better.  To enrich their lives, and the lives of others.”

We definitely wish we could be as athletic and dedicated as this man but can absolutely appreciate his service and spirit!
