A Detroit homeowner came back to her house after a somewhat extended period away to find a squatter and his friends helping themselves.
What’s even more interesting about this story is the way the reporter tells it! She describes it as the squatter and his friends drinking the homeowners gin and Seagram’s “happy juice” while also smoking that “chronic.”
It all keeps getting weirder when it turns out, everyone thinks the home invasion is actually the owner’s fault!
“This is Detroit, Michigan,” one resident said, “this the hungry capital of the world and we will squat in your house if you’re not home.”
So the lesson here, folks, don’t leave your home unattended in Detroit. Otherwise, you can expect it to not be yours when you come back!
