Stabbing

On November 23rd around 9:15 p.m., police were dispatched to a report of a stabbing. Police were informed the victim was in the 400 block of E. North Street. The male stabbing victim was located walking along E. Watertown Street. Officers began applying first aid to the victim before a medical unit arrived on scene. The victim was not cooperative as police attempted to gather information about the incident. A medical unit transported the victim to Rapid City Regional Hospital for the treatment of serious, non-life-threatening injuries. After speaking with other witnesses, the suspect was located inside the business at 901 E. North Street. After giving police false information about his identity, he was positively identified as 24-year-old Nakota Moore of Rapid City. After further investigation, police determined the stabbing occurred after a verbal altercation outside of 901 E. North Street. Moore was placed under arrest for Aggravated Assault and Impersonation to Deceive Law Enforcement. He was transported to the Pennington County Jail.
