Man Falls And Is Injured While Hanging Christmas Lights, So Firefighters Help Finish The Job (Video)

Glenn Elvenholl was hanging up his yearly Christmas lights at his home when he decided that he was up too high and it was too dangerous, so he decided to come down. However, he came down a lot faster than anticipated when the ladder slipped out from underneath him.

Elvenholl ended up shattering his tibia and dislocated his ankle, prompting his wife to call first-responders.

Once they arrived, they took Elvenholl to the hospital but the fire engine crew stayed behind and decided to finish hanging the family’s lights!

“You just turn around and there’s a house half-decorated with lights that are just hanging off to the side with a ladder still up,” said firefighter, John Metzler. “It would’ve almost been a sin not to do it.”

The firefighters’ actions brought smiles to everyone, especially the Elvenholls.

This is truly what the holidays are all about, people! Help each other out, it is “Giving Tuesday” after all.
