An Attorney Says He Was Targeted By Police And Wrongfully Arrested (Video)

An Arkansas Attorney, Steven Minks was arrested by Panama, Arkansas police recently, but he says it is not justified and feels targeted because of his career.

Minks said he had a flat tire, parked his car on the side of the highway and began walking. An officer came up and began questioning Minks but when Minks asked if he had done anything illegal, the officer said no.

Police then detained him until they could figure out what was “going on” with him but denied his requests for a breathalyzer, even though he says he was not drinking.

Jail was the next stop on this wild journey for Minks where officers took his “booking photo” with their personal cell phones.

Minks is still baffled by the situation but feels he knows why he was “targeted.”

“That’s what I get when I drive around. They know I’m the guy who sues police and they know I’m a criminal defense lawyer who will fight for my clients and they don’t like it,” he said.

The charges Minks is facing  and plans on fighting are improper parking on a roadway, public intoxication, resisting arrest and obstruction.
