On December 14th at around 11:40 p.m., police were dispatched to the area of N. Maple Avenue and E. Custer Street for a robbery that had just occurred. Police made contact with the victim in the area of N. Maple Avenue and Custer Street. The victim informed police that he was walking in the area when he was approached by two males, one of which is identified as 18-year-old Anthony Redcloud of Rushville, NE. Redcloud had approached the victim, lifted up his shirt to reveal a pistol in his waistband, and demanded the victim’s property. The victim dropped his backpack, which was taken by Redcloud. Shortly after the incident was reported to police, Redcloud was found walking northbound on N. Maple Avenue, away from the reported location of the robbery. He was also found in possession of the victim’s backpack. A black BB gun modeled to look like a pistol was also found on his person. Officers noted the smell of an alcoholic beverage coming from Redcloud’s person. He was placed under arrest for First Degree Robbery, and Underage Consumption of an Alcoholic Beverage.
