Every celebrity has special requests for their dressing rooms (rider) such as specific snacks they love or things they absolutely cannot have. Of course, each person has little superstitions and quirky requests but there’s just something about one of Pharrell’s requests that has us a little confused.
Recently on Kimmel, Jimmy decided to ask Pharrell about his rider which included things like teriyaki flavored organic seaweed snacks, six non-coconut flavored La Croix, and one framed picture of Carl Sagan.
Yeah, every dressing room Pharrell enters has a framed picture of Carl Sagan.
Pharrell said he really values the things Sagan had to say and said Sagan reminds him how “insignificant” we are in the grand scheme of things and how significant it is we get to live our lives.
Also, his team knows how much Pharrell is inspired by Sagan and the consistent framed picture is partly there just to bust his balls.
Now that we can kind of get it, one thing we’re still left wondering is why Kimmel didn’t think the teriyaki seaweed snacks were weird?
