Gary Oldman Cracks A Joke About His Wife In His First Golden Globe Acceptance Speech (Video)

Gary Oldman won his first Golden Globe Award last night for “Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture-Drama.”

His work on Darkest Hour featured his portrayal of Winston Churchill. He was so dedicated to the role, he made sure to thank his wife for “putting up with his crazy” during his time working on the film.

“She would say to friends, ‘I go to bed with Winston Churchill, but wake up with Gary Oldman,” said Oldman. “Which is I supposed better than the other way around.”

We can imagine that’d be pretty weird, but it obviously paid off!
