Residents of a neighborhood in Auburn, California have fallen prey to yet another busybody homeowner’s association making stupid rules. This time, the HOA is demanding homeowners leave their garage doors open or face a $200 fine.
While some keep things in their garage they don’t mind having stolen and leave the doors open, others don’t think it’s a very good idea.
People like this nine-year-old boy worry about things being stolen, like his bike, electric scooter, or electric wheelchair.
Shelly La thinks the rule is so stupid she plans on leaving her door closed or says she will just pre-pay the ridiculous fine. She also offered up the idea to have monthly or bi-monthly inspections.
An update to the story shows, though, that the HOA has put the rule on hold. Probably because people complained about how stupid it was in the first place.
Let’s see though if Hot Wings can top this dumb rule with an even dumber one for his HOA.
