We all hope that we’ll never be in a situation like this, but if we do happen to find ourselves inside a burning building, we hope that these firefighters show up on the scene!
Firefighters in Dekalb County, Georgia were called to the scene of an apartment building fire. As they were attempting to help residents escape the blaze on the third floor, a mother had just started descending the ladder from her balcony and yelled to the firefighters below, “Catch my baby!” Then, she dropped her young daughter to firefighters below.
On the receiving end of the baby drop was Capt. Jackie Pekrul, who snagged the child and carried her to safety. The mother also made it out unscathed.
