So what do you do when you think you’re better than someone at a particular skill? You challenge them to a competition, of course! That’s just what Charles Barkley did when his Inside the NBA co-host Shaquille O’Neal was applauded after completing a pretty simple commercial read during a recent broadcast.
Just as O’Neal finished with his read, the rest of the hosts on set clapped. Barkley was a bit taken aback, saying, “Ya’ll giving him credit for knowing how to read?” Well, it did’t take long for the tables to turn on ‘ol Chuck, and he was immediately put on the spot. The prompter was cued up, the stage was set and Barkley immediately fumbled over his first few words.
Game. Set. Match. Shaq. Think before you critique, Charles!
