The audio below of a woman in England calling 999 (911 here in the U.S.) has gone viral recently. Why? No, she wasn’t calling to report a crime or because someone’s life was in danger. This idiot called 911 to ask if it was OK to leave an open box of eggs in the refrigerator overnight. What?!
You see, one of her eggs broke, so she shuffled some of them into the lid of the box and left it open in the fridge. Now, most of us would just shut the fridge door and not give it another thought, but not this brain trust. Instead of just forgetting about it, or at most Googling her question, she called 911. Understandably, the 911 operator wasn’t really interested in giving her some hot egg advice, and advised her to call someone else.
