Vince McMahon Announced Yesterday That The XFL Will Return In 2020 (Video)

Yesterday, WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon announced that the wrestling company’s professional football spinoff, the XFL, will return in 2020. In case you forgot all about it, the XFL was a professional football league that lasted for only one season back in 2001.

In his press conference, Mr. McMahon said that the new vision of the XFL was to return the game to the fans. Fans will supposedly have input on everything, from the rules of the game to the cities where teams will be hosted! McMahon also said that it will be a requirement for players to stand for the National Anthem, and that anyone with a criminal record will not be eligible to play.

The new XFL will kick off in 2020 and games will be played during the NFL’s offseason. If you didn’t see the press conference, you can watch it in its entirety below.
