Justin Timberlake Pays Tribute To Prince In His Halftime Performance, Some People Have A Problem (Video)

When in Minnesota, if you don’t love the late legend Prince you can just get the heck out. Justin Timberlake decided to take his Super Bowl performance in Minnesota as a chance to pay tribute, and it would have been beautiful if it wasn’t something Prince specifically said he never wanted.

During his performance JT sat down at a piano with a big white sheet behind him projecting a video of Prince singing. Together, from beyond the grave, Prince joined JT for a duet of Prince’s hit “I Would Die 4 U.” All of this while the stadium and the streets of Minneapolis lit up purple.

It honestly was beautiful, the problem is that Prince had stated in the past that he thought holograms were “demonic” and therefore never wanted to be brought back as one.

That wasn’t the only part people are taking issue with, however, people are also pointing out that Prince and Timberlake were never really friends and Prince, quite frankly, did not like JT.

One person to not hold back in pointing that out was Sinbad. Yes, he’s still alive.

“Okay punka** justin Timberlake. You was cool till you pulled that Prince bulls**t,” he said, “You dissed Prince on a track of yours and you dissed him onstage when you lowered the mic stand onstage when prince won an award. Later for ya a**.”

People are still weighing in but we can all be rest assured that there were no boobs flashed on stage during this performance. Just Timberlake’s questionable outfit.
