In the clip below from Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Chuck discusses the time back in the late 80s/early 90s when he was still playing for the Philadelphia 76ers, but rumors were swirling that he was being traded to the Los Angeles Lakers. Barkley said that he received a call from his agent saying that it was nearly a done deal, so he started celebrating early in the day by getting nice and drunk. Unfortunately, a few hours later, the deal fell through, Barkley was drunk and he had a game to prepare for that night!
The lesson learned here, folks? Wait until the ink on the contract is dry before you crack a few beers to celebrate!
