Ladies and gentlemen, meet your 2018 national grocery bagging champion: 35-year-old Trevor DeForest of Maquoketa, Iowa!
Last week, DeForest traveled to Las Vegas to take part in the National Grocery Association’s Best Bagger competition, and he brought the title back home with him to Iowa! He also nabbed $10,000 in the process.
Trevor has been bagging groceries for over 20 years and is also the assistant manager at the Fairway store in Maquoketa. You’d think that since he’s the assistant manager that he wouldn’t have to bag groceries anymore, but that’s not the case. He seems to still enjoy it, which is great and all, but he’s probably enjoying the $10,000 quite a bit as well!
